Sweet Sisters: Pink-A-Boo Hat (knit)

A super soft cashmere blend for a sweet baby girl who is yet to be photographed on this side of our world!

Big Sister hat pattern adapted from Red Heart "Baby to Kid Crochet Hat WR 1840". Used same yarn as Baby Sister hat.

Materials

• Size 8, 5.00mm 12 inch circular knitting needles
• Kashmere Kisses in Pink-A-Boo
• 65% wool, 30% polyamide, 5% cashmere
• recommends Size 8, 5.00mm knitting needles
• yarn needle
• pom pom maker (optional)

Inspired by Purl Soho's "Super Soft Merino Hats for Everyone!" Pattern. Adapted the pattern for the yarn I used. 

Instructions

• Cuff
• Long tail cast on 54 stitches onto circular needles. Place a marker and join in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches.
• Round 1: *K3, P3, repeat from * to end of round. 
• Repeat until cuff is an inch.
• Body
• Knit every round until piece measures 5.5 inches from the cast on edge.
• Crown
• *K7, k2tog, repeat from * to end of round. (48 stitches)
• Knit
• *K5, k2tog, repeat from * to end of round (42 stitches)
• Knit
• *K5, k2tog, repeat from * to end of round (36 stiches)
• Knit
• *K4, k2tog, repeat from * to end of round (30 stitches)
• *K3, k2tog, repeat from * to end of round (24 stitches)
• *K2, k2tog, repeat from * to end of round (18 stitches) - this is my last round since I don't have double pointed needles but if you have them, you can continue to the last 2 rounds.
• *K1, k2tog, repeat from * to end of round (12 stitches)
• *K2tog, repeat from * to end of round (6 stitches)
• Cut tail and thread it through the remaining stitches. Weave it into the inside of the hat. 
• Make pom pom (I used a 45 mm size pom pom maker) if desired and attach to top of crown. 

Finished Measurements (unstretched)

• length (bottom of cuff to top of crown, not including pom pom) = 6.5 inches
• circumference = 9 inches unstretched, easily stretches to 14 inches
