These toddler-sized cowls work up quickly in the same pattern as the Wintry Sunshine Cowl (crochet).

Ingredients
  • J 6.0mm crochet hook
  • two skeins of yarn
    • Caron Simply Soft in Off White (100% acrylic)
    • Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable in Parrot (100% acrylic)
  • yarn needle
  • scissors
Abbreviations
  • ch - chain
  • st(s) - stitch(es)
  • sl st - slip stitch
  • sc - single crochet
  • dc - double crochet
Recipe
  • Holding both ends of the yarn together, ch 40 sts loosely (or as many sts as you'd like to get desired circumference). 
  • Join to the first ch st with a sl st. Be sure to not twist the ch.
  • Round 1: ch 2 (doesn't count as a st). 1 dc into the same st. 1 sc in the next st. Repeat alternating dc and sc. Sl st to the first dc st.
  • Round 2: ch 1 (doesn't count as a st). 1 sc into the same st. 1 dc in the next st. Repeat alternating sc and dc. Sl st to the first sc st.
  • Repeat rounds 1 and 2 until cowl measures approximately 5 inches (13 cm) or until desired height of cowl.
  • Fasten off and weave in ends.
