Ribbed Beanie for All (knit)
Materials
- US 13 (9.0 mm) 16 inch circular knitting needles (or set of double pointed needles)
- Lion Brand Wool-East Thick & Quick in Coney Island (or other super bulky yarn); I used all 80 meters (87 yards) of one skein
- place marker
- yarn needle
- scissors
- ruler
Notes
- If making for a child, decrease the length - you'll want 2-3 inches longer than you'd typically make to account for the folded up brim. Since the brim is folded up, it's okay if it's a little longer because you can fold up more. Or if you desire a more slouchy look, fold up less! See? It really is versatile! These are just notes to myself, I haven't tested it all out!
- If you're going to mess around with the cast on, just make sure you end up with a number divisible by two since it is a 1x1 ribbing.

- Gauge: 2x2" in 1x1 ribbing = 5 stitches/6 rows
