Riverside Beanie & Cowl (knit)

Have you tried knitting with two different yarns held together? Such a fun way to create a marled look in however way you envision. Add a sparkle to a "matte" yarn or a variegated yarn to a solid yarn. There are many options!

Close-up of two a gray and blue variegated yarn knit projects next to each other on a wood surface.

Because you'll be holding two different yarns together, depending on the weight of yarn used, the sizing of the finished product and needles needed may be different than what I used below. Use that to your advantage to make different sizes and play around with gauge swatches to find the best match for what you're making.

Two white and gray blue variegated knit projects next to each other on a wooden surface. Left one is a cowl. Right one is a hat.
