Misty Dawn Beanies (knit)

Work in progress of a peachy gray knit hat with a gold yarn needle threaded on the top lying next to a pom pom ready to be attached to the top of the hat. Next to the hat on the wooden surface are a pair of small black handled scissors, a blue and white pom pom maker and circular bamboo knitting needles.

The sun came out to greet the chilly air today. The cottonwoods have lost nearly all of their leaves with the recent winds. The cold green grass is blanketed in yellow and orange and red. Inside, wild rice chicken soup is bubbling in the slow cooker on the kitchen counter and various yarn projects to be finished are patiently and not-so-patiently waiting in an assortment of bags to keep them from tangling and to keep projects in order. A notebook on hand with scribbles of ideas and scratches of patterns also keeps track of what's what and who's who.

Chunky grey and peachy knit beanies with pom poms next to each other on a gray and white rug. One is smaller than the other.

This super bulky yarn works up relatively quickly and will be warm for wind chills to come! I prefer knitting in the round to seaming up the back because my seams aren't always the neatest and knitting in the round just finishes up so cleanly! Change up the colors as you wish (or as your little one dictates) and make matching sets (will use up less than 1 skein of yarn by making these two sizes, will likely make two preschooler sizes with 1 skein too)!
