How much fun are matching mommy & me sets?

This little mini me loves to match anything mommy has. Some times she picks out what she wants to wear first, then goes through my closet and dresser to find something for me to wear to match her!

What a fun autumn rainbow!

She decided she liked it better as a scarf for the moment.

Materials

• less than 1 skein of Isaac Mizrahi Craft Yarn Sutton in Amsterdam
• 68 yds, 4oz
• 85% acrylic, 15% wool
• recommends 12.75 mm US 17 knitting needles for 4" x 4" 8S x 11R
• used US 15 (10.0mm) knitting needles (was going to order US 17 knitting needles but ended up getting US 19 knitting needles which are HUGE)
• yarn needle

Instructions For Mommy

• long tail cast on 11
• garter stitch until reach 14 inch length
• cast off and leave a long tail to sew the short edges together 
• cinch sewn edges and wrap around seam for desired look, weave in remaining end.

Instructions for Mini Me (for toddler/preschool size, child size in parentheses)

• long tail cast on 9
• garter stitch until reach 12 inches in length (13 inches in length)
• cast off and leave a long tail to sew the short edges together 
• cinch sewn edges and wrap around seam for desired look, weave in remaining end.

Finished Measurements (unstretched)

• For Mommy:
• Circumference = 14 inches
• Width = 3.5 inches
• For Mini Me:
• Circumference = 12 inches (13 inches)
• Width = 4.25 inches
